I'm noticing a theme here. Someone comes out with some arguement, they puff their chest and then when I respond they say I'm laughable, I'm an idiot and then without any sort of rebuttal or point by point refuttal of what I said they say they're not going to bother.

It's quite odd given that when people agree with me there seems to be no problem understanding what I write. I'm not so laughable and not such an idiot when I'm saying things people agree with.

It's only when someone seeks to take me on one on one that we see this phenomenon play itself out.

Prove me wrong Scorched. Prove that not every camel dogger is a mouse posing as a lion who'll scurry off at the first hint of some opposition. Tell me, explain it to me like I'm a four year old. How was any war fought by America between the Revolutionary War and Now about my freedom?

And I'll give you a freebie. I'm black. But I won't accept the civil war for an answer as I'm NOT Southern and thusly wouldn't have been enslaved, though "free" in the North I would have to say my real freedom did not come until I was allowed the free and clear right to participate in my government, something that no war and only a civil movement granted me.

So you'll have to pick a different war to explain how it saved my freedoms. C'mon Scorched, be better than Absinthe and other vanquished foes, don't run off and be Kalib Starnes, fight, fight on, be Patrick Cote against Anderson Silva, sure you're out matched, sure you're out gunned, but fight on anyway cause who fuckin knows, anything could happen.

I am right here, friend. I was busy this afternoon with better things than arguing with a delusional guy who thinks because he can type over a hundred words in a response he has something to say. I addressed you point by point earlier and all you could do was lord some "upper class" upbringing over me.
You challenged me to point out skirmishes involving the development and security of our country occurring between WW1 and the revolution and I did that in spades. You used the virtues of our democratic system to bolster your argument and in fact did my arguing for me and undermined your own defense.
Now, don't mistake the people who finally put you on ignore for "vanquished foes" LMAO. Why the fuck do you think I even started this thread? Do you think I thought I would convince any of you? No, I just enjoy watching you pussies puff up your chests and squirm while acting like you are the brave ones who secured your own freedom.
Lastly if you are black and can't see how the civil war directly affected you life then I really don't know what to say because you have illuminated your own ignorance more brilliantly than I ever could have myself.

I throw open these barn doors with ppl. I make really bold statements to foster debate. The shitty thing about when ppl do this is I'm never allowed to make my REAL points so to an observer I might appear to be talking out my ass if I'm not given a chance to explain myself.

Scorched the South was going to abolish slavery. It was an inevitability much like civil rights became later on. They KNEW it was coming, slavery was just a bargaining chip. Lincoln said several times on record he had no plans nor did he think he had the right to free slaves.

That's why slaves weren't freed until well into the Civil War, and even then he only freed the slaves in the South, who weren't exactly under his juristiction.

This is my grasp of things. You have to look at things more deeply than your high school (or sometimes even college) history teacher would have you.

Freed blacks in the South weren't doing "great" before the Civil war but life became tremendously difficult for them AFTER the civil war. Their collective stock went noticably down, the KKK was formed, instances of hate crimes skyrocketed where before the civil war none existed.

I'm not here to say the South shoulda or shouldn't have won. I'm a yank and I don't apologize for that. But we're getting off the subject here because the civil war wasn't about an invasive Army nor had Lincoln let the Southerners do as they wanted no one ever had to die.

Are you under the impression that the United States has never conducted eugenic operations? They have. Forced sterility, letting syphilis go untreated in the black community, small pox blankets to the indians, forced indian relocation, indian genocide, mass murder of asian railroad workers. And that's just what we've done internally.

This isn't Communist China, this isn't the Soviet Union. We don't have Kings or Queens so that bullshit doesn't fly with me for 3 big reasons.

1. This is a democratically elected Republic. All men and women registered to vote are responcible for this shit. Don't tell me the government should be allowed to keep secrets. They're not. I AM the government and I require to be informed.

2. Whenever ANYONE tells you that they've done something for you...but they won't tell you what it is......they're FUCKING LYING! ALWAYS. ALWAYS. ALWAYS.
We have freedom of information act now. How come NOT ONE MOTHER FUCKING STORY about the government SAVING US or HELPING PPL has ever come out?
ALL the stories that FOIA has provided us are NEGATIVE. They spied on John Lennon and MLK Jr, They knew where Eichmann was hiding. Starwars never worked. We've overthrown governments for our corporate interests why keeping dead quiet about Genocides in Darfur and Rwanda.

Yet YOU think they're hiding a bunch of good stuff? You think they've saved you?

3. How on Earth would YOU of all ppl know that the government has done good things that they're just keeping from us? I honestly don't mean this as an insult but I've read books, talked with ppl and seen documentaries/news from ppl up and down the board in the politics/journalist/government/intelligence fields. And I've never once heard ANY reference to ANY operation/conflict the government has taken part of for the nation's benefit clandestinely. NOT ONE. And one of my favorite subjects is the CIA.

How am I supposed to believe that you, some random guy on the internet, has access to information that I don't?
