Serial Rapist near my city gets 195 years.

JANESVILLE, Wis. -- A Rock County judge on Friday said a 10-year-long "nightmare" for the county is over before essentially handing down a life sentence to a convicted serial rapist.

Michael Huber, 33, was sentenced on Friday to a total of 195 years in prison in connection with a string of sexual assaults in Rock County.

In April, Huber pleaded guilty to six counts of first-degree sexual assault and was convicted. Those six incidents occurred between 1998 and 2005.

At Friday's sentencing, Huber's victims called for justice.

"You made me listen to you. Today, I get to make you listen to me," said one victim during the sentencing hearing.

Victims confronted the man being called the worst sexual offender in Rock County's history.

"He stalked his victim. He knew what he was looking for. He wanted to pick people carefully so he could avoid detention, and he attacked his victims when they were most vulnerable. They were in their own beds, asleep at night," said Assistant District Attorney Mary Bricco.

Huber was arrested in February 2008 after a partial fingerprint from a 1998 incident was matched by the FBI. That incident was the first in a string of break-ins and assaults through 2005, authorities said.

In court, one by one, six victims told their stories, and spoke directly to the man who turned their lives upside down.

"You do not deserve understanding or forgiveness. There is no justification for what you did. I will never fear you again and your poison will never enter my mind. But most importantly, you will never be able to lay your dirty hands on another woman for as long as you live," said one victim.

"The multitude of repercussions from his attack has changed who I am forever. This man has taken something from my soul that I will never get back," said another victim.

"(On) June 26th, 2009, you are history to me. I am taking my life back. Today is the day you have lost yours as you know it. You will no longer be a free man. It sucks to be you," said a third victim.

Huber accepted responsibility for his actions but did little to comfort his victims.

"I'm as sorry as anybody could be for my crimes against you, not because I've been caught but because I've come to realize the seriousness of my selfish, sexual desires. Sex with beautiful women, not rape, was my only motive," said Huber as he addressed the court.

The defense argued that in 2005 Huber stopped himself from committing these acts.

"I don't believe for a moment you stopped doing this, Mr. Huber, until you were captured," said Judge James Daley.

The sentence of 195 years in prison will keep Huber behind bars for the rest of his life.

As he was led out of the courtroom Friday, the victims burst into cheers and applause.

According to the prosecution, Huber said he had thoughts of committing these acts thousands of times but claims to have only acted on those thoughts in these six cases.

Prosecutors said all that matters is that he's put away in prison for good.

Yeah Matt's a bad ass on the guitar I stopped following them as much when Chad left but have heard most of the new material. Honestly I think their number one tune is hardly, it about sums up their whole msg and point of view on everything. That's what I call a dark and heavy fucking song.
