**Official "Bitch about the Cameldog rules" thread.
Instead of starting a bunch of different threads bitching about the rules that were posted please do your bitching in this thread and this thread only. Thanks.

Yep, clean slate.
Added: I don't consider your anti-Jewish threads to violate the new rules, I consider them intelligently stating your opinion which is acceptable.

Why is it important that no threads have profanity in their titles?

It will give the false impression to visitors that we're professionals.
Really, we feel it will make the site more "Work Friendly".

Isn't "Bitch" profanity and didn't you just use it in a thread title which is technically against the new rules?

Where would one find these "new" rules? Bearing in mind that I am extremely lazy and if it is just a bunch of common sense crap then i'd rather not be bothered with it.
edit: Nevermind, saw em.

Here is an example of what I would consider nonsensical and should be avoided:
http://www.cameldog.net/1774-post23.html
http://www.cameldog.net/2918-post25.html
The term douchebaggery was chosen because it's definition is broad and gives us leeway. When the new skin is installed and the .com half of the site is launched the site will be advertised, which means we should have a lot more members. It's easier to have rules in place to give new posters a guideline on what's expected than have a free for all when they show up.

I will let the Sheikh answer your question niven since he's the boss and has the final say. I personally think that if someone starts a serious thread and wants to have a serious discussion it shouldn't be cluttered up with nonsense. There are plenty of other areas for that. Let the people that come here for a serious discussion have their serious discussion and we'll let the people that aren't that serious have theirs. I personally feel they should be kept separate, especially in the MMA forums. Not everyone will think it's funny or have the same sense of humor as you.

I hope that strong troll work will be allowed. Some people have a gift for it, and it would be a shame to stifle that talent.
Also, as for profanity in titles: i would recommend that rather than being "against the rules," that you "advise against it." Sometimes a thread requires a title with a little profanity, don't you think?

So do I since most of my threads are in fact troll threads. (If you hadn't noticed)
Like I said the Sheikh has the final say about those things but sometimes trying to get an answer out of him is difficult so I make up the rules and let him edit them as he sees fit. The reason for this could be cultural as I am an American and he is not and I take American workplace rules and social norms into consideration. If you reread the rules there is no punitive action for having profanity in thread titles at this point other than recieving a "Single Lash" and the system isn't even set up to hand them out.
