Its fun man, I started roughnecking when I was 18, did it for years went back to college, then back to the rigs as a driller -- I am still working in the oilfield but as a cased hole wireline engineer -- basically use nuclear tools to find sources of hydrocarbons and then use explosives to get them out of the earth.
Love it.
What do you do willie?

If I was proud of it I would tell you.
Nah, I make clutch/brake cables and about any cable you need. Basically a lot of contracts for the military when they build hummers and like the anti-IED vehicle they are working on.
Also a lot of stuff for ford/GM.
It sucks, but I can't afford to take the time for school right now. Trying to be in a successful band.

With these new laws. I can be fired for stating I build stuff for the military. But that is ok.

Just a myspace we haven't done much with yet. We are just now starting to play out and havent had the chance to do a demo yet. Hopefully within a month we will have music up. Then I will make you recheck it.

Cardio?
How much cardio are you guys doing?
I ride stationary bike for an hour every other day -- HR is at about 140 average. I do about 23kms (15 miles) in that hour.
I go to the gym seven days a week, just do cardio only every other day.
|
minimum i do 45 minutes 4 days a week (treadmill, running, elliptical) ; a day or two of those four days often consists a long bike ride (40-50 miles).

lately i've been doing what i think you describe. say during a 45 minute drill i kick up the intensity for a minute, get my heart rate up by 10-15 beats, and then resume at the previous pace.
i think i might cut down my cardio time, since this method seems more efficient and intense.
its trial and error for me.

I know Salmon has Omega-3, but nuts are a good idea to add.
I love shopping at Whole Foods Market, that's my kind of place !

sometimes people call it "whole paycheck".
on the other hand, you get what you pay for. i appreciate that they aren't just a health food/organic store. they also sell gourmet food--say prosciutto, good cheese, or various sausages that aren't 'healthy,' but at least aren't totally processed and are okay in moderation.
