Default reps

Hey just wondering how many reps you guys do when lifting for the various muscle groups..as in how many sets/reps,always to fail or not? i wanna start bulking up a little and im not a big lifter so im just curious as to what system will get the most results..

mostly talking upper body btw..like chest, triceps, biceps, back ect

any advice would be great,thanks

IMO you should be able to do all 3 sets.

Each week ad minimal weight to the bar.

Here's a warm up calculator.

Starting Strength Warm-Up Calculator

You can use that to determine your warm up sets/work sets.

As for deciding what weight you should be using per lift, it should be the max weight that can. If you stuggle a bit or fail on the last set, that's ok. Just keep at that weight till you can do it with ease. If you're not even coming close to finishing, then it's a better idea to drop a bit of weight off the bar. It's all just a matter of time before you'll get it fiqured out.

If you're just starting out, use lighter weights untill you have proper form.

NP, man.

You should also keep a logg. Use it to keep track of all your lifts and progress. You can also post form check video's too. A lot of people really struggle with some of the lifts, so it's not a bad idea to post some up just to be sure you are doing the lift correctly.

G/L man.
