Default Jogging in place vs. jogging on a treadmill

If you jog in place vigorously for 20-30 minutes, does it have the same effect as jogging on a treadmill for the same period of time?

Hey Fully

If you jerk off in place vigorously for 20-30 minutes, does it have the same effect as jerking off on a treadmill for the same period of time?

I have a real fear that I may have to jog in place for an hour or more to get the same effect. That's a long time, but I guess I can read a book or something while I do it.

I've been reading a lot about the advantages and disadvantages of running indoors vs. outdoors. You guys probably know all of the arguments about joint stress, adjusting for inclines/declines and wind resistance. My question is whether or not these same pros and cons are valid if you are running in place.

Fullerene,

Hey man, I did the P90x routine last year (watch how some fat fucker makes fun of it) and I lost a lot of stubborn weight and put on muscle. There is a lot of plyometrics (jump training) and running in place and TaeBo (which was ridiculous).

But IMO you can get really cut up just from doing high reps with low weight with high speed ...probably more effective than running on a treadmill or outside.
