Well I work as a independent contractor at Chambers Bay golf course as a professional golf caddie. I recently had a dispute over my contractual duties and had my contract cancelled. This is a big deal to me because there are no other courses that offer the use of a caddie in Washington. Its winter and I do not have the resources to move to another course.

My questions are not about my contract because I know that im in the right on that matter but out of spite they wrongfully even unlawfully cancelled my contract.

What I need to know are my rights and boundaries for protesting. The course is owned by the county, and managed by a privet corporation Kemper sports.

What Im going to do is make a picket sign offering my services, so that my existing clients and referrals can hear how Kemper sports has treated me. And of course let the media know my story and the illegal actions token on me.

Can I be on the property to protest? It’s county owned property the same county I live in and have lived in sense before the course was built.

This is sorta a big deal and has been going on around the world with caddies because the course wants to keep the caddies as independent contractors so they can avoid Taxes, L&I, benefits… but they still treat the caddies like employees… at first it seems like a good deal because I don’t have to pay taxes either… but after 2 years I have found that they are just raping my rights and bullying me and the other caddies.

Sorry about my jumbled rant im super high and still pissed off. This guys fucked with the wrong caddie.

I'm pretty sure you can be on property to protest, have you stated your case to the county or anything like that?

Hopefully you have a copy of the contract. If the broke the contract illegally and you can prove it take them to court fuck protesting.

dude i went in today for a sitdown and had them give me a copy of the contract got all the contact info to their corporate offices and asked them for a written statement of why my contract was cancelled! When I was walking out the number two guy at the office chased me out to explain to me why is best to follow the “chain of command” haha I think he started realizing I was not bluffing.

thats not a bad idea... i have no thought about that. Cool thing about that I have caddied for a lot of the people that work for the county and that have had a big part for the construction of the course…. So they know im legit.

well first off go to the county, do that, make you case and let them know you plan to protest, and if they say you'll get arrested, don't protest because you know what they intend, go to the media, as much as you can, shit yahoo sports would eat this shit up i think, they always go for stories like this
