True but once Ontario legalizes it we'll get a UFC event in Toronto and that will smooth the wheels not to mention being a massive market guaranteed to sell out an event in minutes.

That would help but honestly, you could have the shittiest card in history and the event would still draw just as well.

I'm still not sure the Crow belongs in the UFC. He's exciting and has some big wins but he has also taken some bad losses against guys he should have destroyed. You never know which Crow will show up on any given night and that's not something a company is going to want to promote.

Again this is a thread that started on other forums with the same video before hahaha

Although Kazja tamed it down a little this time by not asserting that the OAC was waiting for the big UFC buyofff. The UFC has tried to come to Toronto once and is still actively trying to promote the legalization of MMA in Ontario and has given us guys like Hominick and Stout.

There are already quite a good many MMA academies in Toronto and Ottawa as it is. MMA is legal in Quebec and has been for some time. The MMA Scene there is thriving as the Crow, GSP, and Cote all got their starts in UGC and TKO. TKO maybe on the brink but XMMA has popped up run by a group of local Quebec fighters. Apex and King of the Cage have visited the maritimes often as well (Nova Scotia and New Brunswick).

Then out west you have MFC which has helped bring along guys like Jason Day and Jason McDonald. MMA is alive and well in Canada the OAC won't keep it illegal forever. I think they're just a little more conservative there, also it doesn't help that The Conservatives have been in power for two terms

I think pretty much every province except Ontario and BC....It may or may not be legal in Prince Edward Island, but they are very remote and don't have many areas with the population to support major sports anyway..a junior hockey team is all they had. Same with Newfoundland where Travel costs and mostly rural population make anything outside of St.John's not worth the bother of going into. St.John's has held AHL and Junior hockey teams for a while but their travel costs made them fold, though I know an MMA show would do quite well there in terms of popularity it wouldn't draw a huge gate, their biggest indoor arena type venue holds 6000-8000 people tops, so it would have to be outdoors. I don't know if the Junior stadium in PEI holds that many. So basically Only Ontario and BC are the two provinces where MMA is illegal that have large cities and populations to be able to successfully promote Local MMA events and support any large number of MMA gyms, and I may be wrong about BC.

Also Canada has Provinces, not districts. Provinces. And 3 Territories.
