Artizzle my nizzle!
Artest on the Lakers baby! Can you say "one mo' time"?
Artest is a beast on defense. One of the most agressive and athletic motherfuckers I have EVER seen in ANY sport.
This is a guy who is 6'7 262 lbs of pure athleticism. Runs as fast as a guard, jumps as high as fuck, extremely physical, retarded reflexes. If this guy trained MMA since agr 3 like Machida, he would tear people in 2. His athleticism is unreal.
Artest is a basketcase but the Lakers pay Phil Jackson all that mula for a reason. He can deal with douchebags. If Phil could make it work with Rodman, best believe hes going to make that shit work with Artest.
Look for Lakers to win it again next year. Sorry Lebron fans, Artest gon D that nigga up and Kobe wont even have to worry about him.
Queensbridge what?!?!

As long as ron-ron can keep his cool, this is a great pickup for the lake show, man. Nice.

Phil Jackson is different kind of coach. We're talking about a guy who assigns his players to read books.
Lamar used to be an epic basketcase until Phil "The Zen Master" Jackson made him read Old Man and the Sea. Odom said that book changed his life and look at how much heart he showed in the playoffs this year.

I'm not saying it can't be done, cause Phil works wonders - but is it a guarantee that Phil will be back next year?? His health ain't the best, man.

I had heard they were trying to work out a deal where Phil stays on, but doesn't go on road trips. You hear anything about that?

Man that would be fine by me. Kurt Rambis and the rest of the guys would still be there. Plus the commander, Kobe.

We'll see - I think it was sort of a last ditch effort by Dr Buss to keep Phil around.

I think so as well. If Phil stays though, this could be one of the better signings we've seen in a while.
On a side note, what's up with Ariza fixing to sign with Houston??

FUck it we've upgraded Big time IMO....
Winning does some weird shit to players sometimes, and who knows if Ariza would've played at a level that would warrant so much money.....what we do know is that Artest has been a star in this league aside from his bullshit who can handle the fame and fortune that comes w/ the game and still handle himself on the court.
Ariza is pretty much taking the same role Artest had w/ the Rockets which is a role that doesn't suit him, w/ Yao and Tmac still not healthy he will have to take the brunt of the load scoring wise which is a major transition from just being a role player.
On the other hand Artest will have a major load taken off his shoulders playing alongside Gasol and Kobe so he will feel a hell of a lot more comfortable on the floor knowing he doesn't have to do fucking everything ya know?
I am smelling a serious repeat my friends.

BTW Phil will be back next season bros, you can count on that shit w/ this signing.
I have a feeling he wants to be TWO titles better than Red Auerbach.....although he won two as a player as well.

At long last, we have proof that playing for the Knicks is good for something!
