I love this thread! I remember the 80's as my mother walking around the pool in her little bikini drinking a martini while my dad grilled hambugers and hotdogs in his little speedo's. The music was loud, fast paced and the days were hot and fun. It's funny because I pretty much only listen to 80's music, Johnny Cash, and some rock. My friends and I love it. Nothing puts me in a better mood.

I remember this one day perfectly. I must have been about 5 years old. We had just opened the pool and I was sitting on the cement right next to the pool playing with my barbies and my dad was cleaning it. My mom tried to push him in and he picked her up and tossed her in. Then he jumped in after her. I remember thinking how beautiful, young, and in love they were, and still are. The 80's just give me great memories. Life was so simple back then.

The 80s also produced some great action flicks.

I loved the early 90's, because thats where my earliest memories lie. And the early 90's still had that 80's culture. I remember my Mom and her friends still sporting the high hair in the early 90s, the classic rock was still bumping like crazy in the early 90's, and My dads and uncles sported the MUSTACHE and long hair. Thats why I liked it so much. 95-2003 was the "90's" culture and era. And now, I dont know what the fuck we are doing. We are all so divided, so many different cultures. Everything sucks now and days IMO. Maybe its cause im an adult, so now I have responsibilities, or maybe this generation really does suck.

But yeah 60's-90's is the best time to be an American from what I have seen.
