I recently watched it and a sequel was also filmed about four years later with critics looking for an appeal. I'm not sure if all appeals go to the same judge who presided over the original case but this one did. These trials are literally the modern day Salem witch trials. They have one more chance for an appeal before Damean Echals gets executed.

my main problem is this whole trial is botched on comedic levels from state witnesses to what the judge allowed in court. REASONABLE DOUBT??? HELLO!

the funniest thing I heard in the entire video was the Bowels stepfather claiming they found a jar with his sons testicles in it along with alcohol and fingerprints under Dameans bed, lol the man is literally crazy. This trial is something I'd expect to see on an SNL sketch

the entire podunk town of Arkansas where this happened is an occult that should be hanged because I dun think so

They're still in jail.

We'll never get any resolution on it as Mark Buyers(the stepfather who chances are did it) is dead and so is his wife.

The WM3, West Memphis 3, haunt my days and nights. There but for the grace of god go any of us if some dumb cop gets it in his head we murdered anyone. The legal system is farce.

If they would have treated this case proper, the world would know how botched and screwed up it is. Hence the cover up and denial of a new trial. But as Milesteg stated, crucial witnesses/participants are unable to testify.

I saw this documentary a few years ago, I got amazingly pissed off while watching it.
