Mirkosledgehammer: I think google has a google video player that you can download, and then save it as a gvideo file. I think with other flash movies that aren't hosted by google, you can just download a flash video player, download it as a flash video file, and then play it on the flash video player.

You use a PC ?
There are programs that you can download that can download flash movies - but on the Mac it's very easy to download any FLV using the Safari web browser.
I think it can be done by Firefox as well - a Google Search will find a solution, I'll get back to u when I find something for PC users -

He wants to know how to download ... they don't let you download say in Youtube ..
Download VLC Media Player - this is a must-have - it plays FLVs and almost every other media file out there.
There are programs for PCs to download flvs.

I tried something but it didn't work for me.
Mozilla Firefox has built-in features to save Flash movies. When viewing a web page:
1. Right-click on the web page;
2. Select View Page Info;
3. Switch to the "Media" tab;
4. Select the Flash movie you want to save;
5. Click Save As.

I just remembered !!!
Safari is available for Windows, and since I use Safari to download videos from Youtube and other sites, so can you.
In Safari, go to Window ---> Activity
Then , look at the file that is the largest , that is the video file, just double click and it will download to your desktop.
You may need to add a ".flv" extension to the file or it may automatically give it that extension, am not sure on Windows/Linux.
Just use VLC to play it.
I have tons of videos from Youtube and Googlevideo saved on my hard drive.
