Mauricio Shogun Rua picks Lyoto Machida to beat Rashad Evans; Open to fight against f
Quoteworthy:
“It’s going to be a hard fight [between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida]. Lyoto is a man who gets to make a game tough to be reproduced for any sparring, while Rashad is very strategic. Both are very technical and competent but I root for Lyoto. I would say it is 60% to 40%. I cannot see any gap (or hole) in Lyoto’s game. He is athletic and very good in all. We know one another well, we’re friends and I wouldn’t like to fight him. However, it can happen. I don’t choose opponent. It is up to the UFC.”
Mauricio Shogun Rua weighs in on the upcoming clash between current 205-pound champion Rashad Evans and number one contender, Lyoto Machida, at UFC 98: “Evans vs. Machida” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 23, giving “The Dragon” a slight edge. Rua, of course, has a vested interest in the outcome of the championship match — he could very well earn consideration with another win or two. He most recently stopped former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell via first round technical knockout at UFC 97: “Redemption” last month. And he now has his sights set on possible rematches against two other former champions, Forrest Griffin and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson; however, he could have to wait awhile for either of those two because they are scheduled to fight later this year. Regardless, it’s good to hear that Rua is open to a match against Machida … but will it ever happen?

lol, no shit.
I like Shogun a lot though, really looking forward to seeing how he continues his UFC career. Rematches with Forrest and Rampage would both be awesome.

I think this is one of the few times I want to see the Brazilian lose. I just don't like Machida, I want him to lose. Do I think he will? Nope.

Shogun should fight Cane. It's a perfect match. Both are top 10. Forrest is fighting Spider and Rampage is getting a title shot. Shogun isnt close to Rampages realm right now. He needs to beat a worthy YOUNG contender.
