Nate Diaz To Return At Ufc 94 Vs. Clay Guida
- NATE DIAZ TO RETURN AT UFC 94 VS. CLAY GUIDA - MMA WEEKLY - Mixed Martial Arts & UFC News, Photos, Rankings & more
Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner Nathan Diaz will make his return to the Octagon on Jan. 31 at UFC 94. He will face perennial fight of the night candidate Clay Guida, according to GracieFighter.com, a web site owned and operated by Diaz' trainer Cesar Gracie.
Diaz last saw action at UFC Fight Night 15 in Omaha, Neb., where he eked out the toughest victory of his UFC tenure. He fought a back-and-forth battle with tough Midwest fighter Josh Neer, earning a split decision victory. Diaz holds a professional record of 10-2 and is currently riding a five-fight winning streak.
A clear fan favorite for his "never say die" attitude, Guida has had a see-saw career in the Octagon, amassing a 4-3 record during his time in the UFC. He currently owns back-to-back wins, including the most prominent win of his career in his most recent bout. Also at UFC Fight Night 15, Guida won a hard-fought unanimous decision over Ultimate Fighter Season 6 winner Mac Danzig.
The two will meet on the undercard of the UFC 94 Super Bowl weekend fight card featuring a main event mega-fight as Georges St. Pierre defends his welterweight championship against UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn.

Guida. The hair will not be held in a triangle. Nick is gonna get beat up! Diaz is gonna look like Clay beat him with a rock.

Well Josh Neer has better stand up than Guida and Diaz beat him.
And Kurt Pellegrino is light years ahead of Guida on he ground and Diaz subbed him.
I say Diaz by triangle!

Diaz by RNC, as long as he can match cardio with Guida.

It depends on how the fight plays out. Guida can likely take Diaz down whenever he wants, but is Guida going to want to do that? Diaz isn't going to be knocking him out, and he has never fought anyone who can bring the intensity like Guida can. I think Diaz is either going to lose a decision or take a beating for a round or two and catch a submission.

It should be exciting. Can guida hoold him down for 3 rounds and control to a win? Or will diaz catch him? I like those types of fights. Where you cant look away because crazy mopther fuckers like Diaz.

oh man this is a good matchup, I can see Guida busting nate up worse than anyone has before w/ some of those elbows from the top but I feel nate is gonna bait him into a sub and he'll get it.....either a Guillotine or triangle Rd 3.
