White claimed, “I’ve pulled everything out of the trick box that I can and I can’t get a TV deal over there with PRIDE. I don’t think they want us there. I don’t think they want me there.”

I think Dana did try to get PRIDE running but it backfired on him, so him saying that just now is him trying to save face for his screw-ups.

Dana said in the video that getting cro cop was his PLAN to kill PRIDE PERIOD. So he never had any intention to continue PRIDE. So quit saying he was trying to bring PRIDE back. He wants it dead, PERIOD.

he had to crush the competition, what does any business man do? you gotta find the best way to shut down the competition, shit you can blame Cro Cop just as much for signing, they tried putting it together, but the fact with how much debt they were in, it would be pointless

I know. That is why I dont understand why you guys are making up shit like "he wanted to continue PRIDE" when in that video he blatantly said he wanted to kill it from the beginning. It's like you guys are trying to lie for Dana or something.

And crushing the competition has nothing to do with it. PRIDE was the greatest show on earth, and hardcore fans passionately loved it. Dana could have continued it and the TUF fans would have loved it as much as we do. But his ego wouldnt let him put on a superior show that wasnt created by his team over his own shitty gladiator, metal rock themed show that was zuffas creation.

Ok you miss Pride. I get it. Yea at the time Dana got Cro Cop to kill Pride, because then Pride was the competition, much like how Dana treats Aflliction and Elite Xc. But Dana being the business man he is believe it or not, saw an opportunity to to acquire Pride, the so called "greatest show on earth", and get a lot of quality fighters. Dana tried to run Pride but they blocked him from the networks and then he found out that DSE only had verbal agreements with their fighters, leaving Dana with only DVD rights and looking like a douche.

you're twisting his words, you're pointing out how he said he wanted to "crush" pride, yeah he did, he wanted to crush the business part of it and keep it running, but the fact is when he got there, the company was so fucked, Dana loves fights no matter what organization, even Tito and Randy pointed that out in their books that he loves every kind of fighting, Lorenzo said he wanted to keep PRIDE running more than anyone there, but the company was so fucked, it wouldn't have been worth it...

This PRIDE nuthugging is getting fucking stupid, the UFC nuthugging is stupid, the Dana bashing is fucking stupid, you say WAR UFC FIGHTERS than instead of bitch about Dana all the time and how fucking shitty the UFC is and enjoy the fucking fights that the FIGHTERS put on, when this nuthugging goes on, it gets fucking stupid and makes everyone sound half retarded, don't get caught up in the fucking politics, it's ridiculous, debate about fighters abilities, and if they're assholes are not, trying to argue about which organization is superior is fucking stupid, i consider myself more of a PRIDE fan than a UFC fan but the fact is, PRIDE is dead, no how much bitching everyone does about it being bullshit and Dana being an asshole and how the UFC sucks, but the fact is, that's the best company we have right now, best production, best stable of fighters, and now it's the best overall show

I love the UFC. I just dont like Dana as a promoter. He shit talks other promoters and other fighters when it isnt necessary. He seems like a cool person to hang with. But he is the type of person who always has to win or be better, and you always have to agree with him or he wont like you.

There isn't a rule that I cant criticize promoters. I love the UFC, but I dont like Dana. I can say that without being labeled "retarded". I dont like the guys who ran PRIDE either, because they were corrupt.

Dana is a man I respect, because he will move heaven and earth to make sure his company prospers. He turned Gary Shaw into a laughing stock and although he might not always pay every fighter as much, those who deserve it will be paid a fortune. If Wanderlei, Nogueira and BJ keep winning, my guess is in 2 years they will get a cut of the PPV.

A bitter pill to swallow bit it is completely true. Dana is a fucking tool but he knows what is right for his company.

Also, Zuffa didn't kill Pride. They just kicked them when they were down.
