According to the article, Lorenzo Fertitta actually flew to Croatia and met Crocop in his house for 2 hours.
Damn, they must need Crocop if Lorenzo will fly to Croatia and visit Crocop in his own house.
European expansion anyone ?

""A source tells us that CroCop got an offer that is simply non-refusable," the article states. "CroCop will almost certainly look at the returning to the strongest MMA league in the world currently knows."
So it's not a done deal yet.

I guess the UFC was happy with the show out of the Germany show. Cro Cop had the most fans there. Cro Cop is definitely the best draw for Europe. Smart move by Lorenzo.

As awesome as that would be, I'd really prefer CC to get one more fight in the cage under his belt before stepping up like that. The surgeries weren't that too long ago, that he couldn't use another tune-up, IMO.

I don't think the necessarily needed him sheikh I think they just WANTED HIM ya know? which is cool IMO, Lorenzo getting some shit done.
But you're absolutely right about he European expansion, it's a very smart move for them....plus it's hard to argue that Cro Cop has much more interesting matchups outside of the UFC as he does w/ teh UFC.
Tons of good matchups for him in the UFC.

After dealing with Sheikh's "the fertitas are mobsters" rants, the fact that, according to the story, Lorenzo made Mirko "an offer he couldn't refuse" takes on a whole new meaning, IMO.
