Dana 'Scrooge' White.
Here are the fighter's share payouts for some recent UFC events.
For the sake of comparison, here's the percentage share of gross revenue player's receive in other major sports: 59% in the NFL, 57% in the NBA, 55.6% in the NHL, 53% in MLB and about 40% for major boxing events.
So, basically, the UFC keeps 4 to 6 times more money than other major sporting organisations.
What a bunch of fucking 'Scrooges' the UFC are. It's no wonder people like Randy and Tito are pissed off with them.

A freaking travesty !
I hate it when people actually SUPPORT Dana and the UFC's money-pinching, and whine when fighters get paid better, saying "it's too much"
WTF !

I was actually made to throw my fights due to my style being too effective in mma. Ive been selling shirts and socks out of the back of my car, and been trying to get dana to do me a favor and set up a second fight with hackney.

UFC is way more for entertainment purposes than the sport and even dana said it's about the money.
I hope cuban/trump get into it big time and make a huge org with great fighter pay and not the same shitty gladiator entrance every PPV.

Also, in a recent interview with ESPN, Dana White 'boasted' that: "Easily 75% of UFC fighters make $50,000/year".
ESPN - ESPN The Magazine
Big fucking deal. That's nothing to boast about. Any reasonably qualified IT guy in the computer industry makes $50,000/year - easily, and he doesn't have to risk his health by stepping into an Octagon every few months like UFC fighters do.
Dana gets more annoying every time he opens his mouth. He's far more interested in increasing his own $80,000,000 fortune than he is in paying his fighters a decent wage. He is nothing but a greedy bastard.

I wonder why noone asks what Dana makes -- the same Dana who showed up on a SPIKE TV special "training" and flying in his private jet.
Dana is stealing they money and working off the sweat and blood of his fighters.

yeah, but the IT guy had to go to college. I got three words for you "I does work"-Bret Rogers
furthermore, who knows it's these figures are accurate. Does this account for all the ad's that ufc puts on the television to promote the event? The cost of renting out a venue? Zuffa staff pay? That half of the PPV money which the PPV provider is entitled to? Taxes? Fees? How about all the money which was invested into a dwindling company going nowhere?

Not to play devil's advocate but the UFC's payscale is much more sensible than most other orgs. Paying mid-level fighters heaps of money is a sure way of going out of business in a big hurry, as has been proven by these flash-in-the-pan orgs that spring up from time to time.
If you want to last in the mma business you have to think long-term. Look at Affliction for example, they are putting on one of the best shows in the history of mma but they are going to lose their shirts(no pun intended) doing it. Their ticket sales are lousy, they have nobody on the card that is a proven PPV seller and their advertisement campaign is a joke.
Other orgs don't seem to understand that it isn't the fighters' names that sell the PPVs. The UFC does so well with PPVs because they have been in it for the long haul and have established themselves as a brand. That is why it is next to impossible for new orgs to get a foot hold with the casual fans. The fact of the matter is that when a casual fan hears mma they automatically associate it with UFC.

As for Dana's cut, he is the president and partial owner of the company. If you don't expect him to be pulling in more than even the top fighters then you are delusional.

Everything you say is correct !
It seems Americans love brands in particular - they'd rather have a product of a brand they "know', rather than an equal or superior product which is less known.
This "brand awareness" is particularly strong in North America .. that's why Strikeforce are doing well as a REGIONAL org in the Bay area, and turning a profit.
UFC built it's brand largely based on TV - on TUF, and SPIKE TV.
Affliction now has no brand recognition - for any org to compete with the UFC, it needs TV and , even, a TUF knockoff.
I don't believe the UFC will be the number 1 org in 10 years.
That's my take on how MMA and the money pouring in will go head to head with the UFC and surpass it.
Now that MMA is mainstream and on network TV ,it is feasible more money will be brought in sponsorship money - similar to the NFL or NBA, and the "stars" will be making much more then they do now.

Not being able to have children ain't such a bad thing. As long as you can still use 'it' your fine.
