Default Calorie and Protien Counters

So far people on Cameldog have been great with helping me out with my workout, diet and boosting my metabolism.

So I thought I'd start a thread where we share different types of foods we eat along with the calorie and Protien info along with it. Attached is a link to a website that i use to figure out most of the information i need.

Calorie Chart - Foods Sorted Alphabetically

Anyway I'll start with what I ate this morning before I did my workout.

1 diced dill pickle mixed with 1/2 a can of tuna.
70 calories and 15 grams of protien, and less than 1 gram of fat.
( Just found out that 1 pickle is about 5 calories )

tuna with pickles pwns. my mouth's watering thinking about it.

this morning at 8:30 i had a Naked Juice- blueberry flavored and a zone perfect bar. then i had two peaches at about 11. then at 12:30 i had a green salad with 3 oz tuna with newman's raspberry vinaigrette lite and balsamic vinegar. i also had an apple. at about 3:30 i'm gonna eat some pineapple.

if you get hungry, a really great snack is 94% fat free popcorn. it fills you up and it's really low cal. also if you like desserts, get the jello fat free sugar free puddings.

That Fitday site will work out how many calories you are having each day, how many calories you are burning through exercise each day. The whole shabang!

How much do you weigh? You're not nearly eating enough. Your body will be storing fat as you're not feeding it enough.

Less is good up until a point but never go below 1 calorie per LB of bodyweight. So if you are 140 the minimum you shoud consume is 1400 and that would be during the most extreme weight cut. I wouldn't even suggest going that low unless it's during a proper regime.

For instance, I am 168 and when I am cutting/burning fat as much as possible I go to about 1800 per day.

shit- i would think you'd need to eat around 3000 calories a day. you probably burn off about 1500 in one hour training session alone. your metabolism must be fast as shit too. i look at a potato and gain 2 pounds. i hate you

i agree with you. it's better to up your activity and just cut your calories by a few hundred a day. slow and steady spaz--shoot for 1 1/2 - 2 pounds a week. cutting calories too drastically will make your metabolism really slow--eat good food, eat often, and exercise a lot....the weight will burn off dude.

the biggest challenge for me when i'm dieting is actually not eating enough. i tend to go to extremes, so when i diet, i really diet hardcore. my appetite then goes down and i actually don't feel like eating. i sometimes have to force myself to eat something even though i may not be hungry....because you need to eat to lose weight.
