well is you want too go down that route a line off cocaine will bubp up your matabolism hugly but it might be an expencive way too do it.
what i like too do is let yourself be cold sleep with the window open doint wear a jacket turn your central heating down. your body will work much harder too keep you warm.
also excercise in the morning even if it is only a little bit it will increase your energy consumption throught the day massively.

Make sure you always eat breakfast, don't eat past 8 oclock.
Try eating certain exotic fruits, kiwi, mango, shit like that, all fruit is good for you but the ones that your body isn't use to are even better because your metabolism works harder to process those nutrients that are good for you
different kinds of nuts, not salted or anything, are really good for you metabolism

As Sheikh said earlier. Lifting weights is awesome to help with metabolism or burning up calories. Just because your muscles are burning up so much trying to repair and etc.
I would have to say weight lifting>cardio for getting off the fat.

when you say you want to boost your metabolism, what end goal did you have in mind? fat loss?
best thing to do is to eat every 3 hours, small meals with 50%-60% clean carbs, some protein.
anaerobic training like sprinting, high rep lifting is great for boosting your resting metabolic rate.
if you want to lose fat, and this is something i battle with, slow and steady wins the race.

Drinking green tea along with the suggestions above of course. 3-4 cups of green tea can increase your metabolism by as much as 20%.

yeah green tea, i forgot about that. there's some herbs that can increase your metabolism gently through thermogenesis. most on the market are ephedrine free.
if you want to use an ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin stack, don't overdo it. it's a very effective way to increase your thermogenic rate and lose fat, but it's a little dangerous and makes you feel jittery sometimes.
another illegal way is to get some clenbuterol with thyroxin (T3) and use that stack for very carefully regulated amount of time. do your research before you mess with ephedrine or clenbuterol.

I am going to add green tea to my diet. I'm assuming you drink it with no sugar/honey added.
Also I gotta take advantage of working out in the mornings as opposed to later on in the day.
Thanks everyone for the advice!

You can add natural honey if you want. I just drink it as is. Don't use boiling water that burns the green tea and you lose most of the good effects along with tasting bitter. Boil the kettle then wait 7-8 minutes then make the tea with that water.

I went out and bought TWININGS of LONDON Green Tea. Its doesn't taste too bad, I still got to get used to it but how do you know which green tea is better?
I had a CELESTIAL SEASONINGS Fruit Tea Sampler from before that is very good but not sure if that increases ones metabolism.
Honey I hear has good medicimal purposes. Although if your counting calories it has 60 cal. per 1 Tbsp (20g) which is still slightly better than regular sugar which has 75 cal. per 1 Tbsp (20g).
I am guilty of using boiling water on my tea. I will now wait 8 minutes before applying hot water to my tea. Thanks RearNakedNick for the water tip.
I think we just started our own Tea Club here on Cameldog. LOL
