no way dude, Tysons hand speed and precision was good, but Ali was the greatest, he beat better opponents more often than Tyson did, and heart is very much apart of the game as skill is, and we all know that

I know ALI is the fucking greatest. I told you, im talking about speed and potential. Tyson would have beaten ALI in his prime. Stlyistically. But would have lost to Foreman. Would have been like the LHW division. Everyone with different styles countering eachother.

you said "fuck him" how is that giving him credit? pleaseeee explain that to me, Ali was the face of boxing, for good reason, he didn't talk like a retard like Tyson, he fought better opponents than Tyson did in his reign and he did it more often, Ali was a revolutionary and ground breaking fighter and person while Tyson couldn't make up his own mind on anything besides raping people, you clearly haven't seen mayne of Ali's fights if you believe that for a second, Tyson never had gameplans like Ali did, ever

Ali would have let Tyson gas himself out by being faster on his feet than Tyson and than do the same exact thing he did to Foreman, Tyson is a fucking moron while he was a great fighter

Tyson in his prime had too good of head movement, was too fast and had too good of combos. ALI had trouble with a lesser version of Tyson in Frazier.

Tyson had great cardio too.

Tyson had gameplans in the 80's when he had good trainers like Rooney and Cus. But when he got with Don king, he started relying on a punchers chance. That was his only gameplan

That's not very hard to figure out there buddy....I think Ali was an asshole that doesn't mean he wasn't a good boxer now does it? I'm just not sucking his balls the way you are, I've seen plenty of his fights to know he was great but then again I've seen plenty of his fights where he fights lame ass out of shape white dudes that had no business even being in the ring w/ him. So you can suck off his legacy all you want but it's to argue that athletes nowadays are quicker, stronger and faster than they were 30-40 years ago....w/ that said a fight w/ him and Tyson could surely go either way but I could see Ali being another KO victim of Tyson's also.

during Tysons title reign he didn't beat the likes of the opponents that Ali had beaten, not once

Your straying from the point we're not talking legacies or quality victories, we're talking about their skills and how they would effect one another.

yeah and Ali is the smartest fighter to ever live, he would figure Tyson out in heart beat and then pick him apart

The thing you seem to be missing is that while both were fast, Tyson had a shitload more behind his punches than Ali could ever hoped to have had. Opponents are a function of the times and it isn't under the control of a fighter how talented his peers may be. Ali definitly had Tyson beat as far as heart goes but Ali never fought anyone with the kind of ferociousness that Tyson had. Tyson wasn't some lumbering oaf like Foreman, he was compact, defensive, fast, powerful and vicious. Tyson would have walked through Ali just like he did with Spinks.

Goos post, agree. ALI had heart, Jab and footwork on Tyson. Speed is equal, and Tyson had the rest of the aspects. Including head movement. Tyson had insane head movement.

Tysons reign as champion was nothing compared to Ali's, not one bit close, you guys obviously don't really get everything he did and really understood his style, he could man handle somebody if he wanted, or he could use his speed and ring smarts to out class somebody that was a great fighter, Tyson fought nothing but chumps when he was the champ

Still doesnt take away Tysons skill. And he didnt fight ALL chumps. He DID unify the titles and became the youngest HW champion ever.

He is like RJJ. He gets criticized for fighting chumps, because he made everyone look bad. The people he fought werent chumps, they just had no chance to make a career, with Tyson destroying everyone.
